This morning my family and I attended Free Chapel. On Sundays, we have been going to Blackshear place but we heard about Jason Crabb singing and decided to go! The singing, of course, was amazing but this morning I heard a Christmas message unlike any I have ever heard.
Hebrews 13:8 says that "Jesus Christ is the same Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow, and Forever." This teaches us that we do not have to fear about our future because it is promised. God never changes. Jentezen tells us to "Fear Not; because you past has been pardoned. Fear Not; because your present is powerful. Fear Not; because your future is promised." Each time in the story, we here Shepard's; Fear Not Joy is coming. Mary; Fear not you have found favor in God. Joseph; Fear Not God is at work. Fear Not; your prayers have been heard. Fear Not; great Joy is coming. Another thing that really hit me in the sermon was talking about rejoicing in unanswered prayers. Pastor Franklin talked about how in Heaven we will be rejoicing for all the things that did not happen because of God's greater plan. We need to trust in God's plan and not fear anything; including death.
"Fear Not; because you past has been pardoned. Fear Not; because your present is powerful. Fear Not; because your future is promised."
